BookTrust - Getting children reading

There is so much to explore on the BookTrust website to help you enjoy reading with your child. We’ve picked out some of our favourite links, as well as information on how to receive your free Booktouch pack for children who are blind or partially sighted.

Bookstart packs for children who are blind or partially sighted

Families in England are entitled to these free packs in addition to the two standard Bookstart packs. If you haven’t already received yours, you can access them though your local authority’s Bookstart Coordinator, who can be contacted via your health visitor, health clinic, early years setting or local library. The specially designed Booktouch packs – Booktouch Baby (0-2 years old) and Booktouch Toddler (3-5 years old) include two touch-and-feel books and guidance around sharing books with blind and partially sighted children.
